Ride Plans for 6/16 & 6/17

Tulsa Tough is over and the local race calendar is drying up.  It seems like every year the lack of available races and post-Tough hangover has people thinking less about racing and more about riding their bikes.  (I am not saying this is a bad thing.)  Don't get me wrong, if you want to race I think you can probably find an appropriate event and I encourage you to do so.

Following a training "build" cycle and several weekends of racing criteriums, you may find your endurance to be a bit lacking.  Now is a good time to start logging some miles in the weekend.  Since many of us didn't get a chance to ride the Tulsa Tough Granfondos last weekend, I thought we could take advantage of some creative routes and course markings for our group rides.  My proposal for this weekend is a version of last Saturday's "Medio Fondo".

On Saturday, we will depart from Tom's Bicycles (68th & Peoria) at 8 AM and ride the course in a clockwise direction.  The course should be well marked, but please take some time familiarizing yourself with the route.  Total distance should be just under 63 miles.

Sunday's ride leaves at 8 AM or 1 PM from Tom's Bicycles (pick the time that works best for your schedule).  It might be neat to do the same ride but in reverse (counterclockwise) on Sunday but it will depend on how confident we are in the route.  We will decide before we leave the parking lot.
