New Ride Times (and other Weekend Plans)

I am not sure if we are on Daylight Savings Time or non-Daylight Savings Time, but we definitely set our clocks forward last weekend.  This act also signals a change in the TGR (Tom's Group Ride).

Saturday's ride will depart from Tom's Bicycles (68th & Peoria) at 8 AM.

Sunday's ride will also depart from Tom's Bicycles but we now offer a "Sinners and Saints" option for Sunday.  "Sinners" will depart the Tom's parking lot at 8 AM and "Saints" will depart the Tom's parking lot at 1 PM.  (The route and pace will be the same for both departure times.  The schedule change just allows a little more flexibility on Sundays.)

Many of us have been racing the last couple of weeks, so this weekend is a good time to work in some endurance miles.

On saturday, the wind is out of the South, so we will will head to Morris, OK.  There is a convenience store there that makes some pretty incredible breakfast sandwiches and turnovers, so be sure to bring some money.  This convenience store (approx. mile 39) will be our only planned rest stop, but we will give everyone time to get something to eat before we head home (with the wind at our back).

For Sunday, I was going to send us out to Haskell.  However, this would result in quite a bit of ride time in a strong crosswind and after Saturday's ride, this might be a little excessive.  I am going to hold on to that one.  Instead, let's visit Bryan's hometown of Beggs, OK.
